Our Story

Chromianimbus is a musical project born from the fusion of technology, emotion, and cultural diversity. Officially founded in mid-2024 in Valencia, Spain, the project is the artistic vision of a systems engineer and graduate in audiovisual arts from the National University Institute of Art (IUNA) in Argentina.
During the pandemic, its creator Sebastián Montenegro moved to France and later to Spain, where he began to shape a collection of songs that he had been writing for many years.
This creative process also coincided with the publication of his book, Dragoneria: The Guardian of the Multiverse, available on Amazon, thus solidifying a multidisciplinary artistic identity that integrates music, narrative, and technology.
The name Chromianimbus is a made-up term that evokes an atmosphere charged with emotion and nuance, reflecting the ethereal and ever-changing spirit of the project. More than a traditional band, Chromianimbus functions as a collaborative artistic platform, where different musicians and singers join in depending on each stage or production, generating a dynamic and constantly evolving identity.
Musically, the project draws on influences from synthpop, electropop, and pop, with clear references to Erasure, Pet Shop Boys, and Roxette. However, its essence is eclectic and open to exploring new genres, with songs performed in English, Spanish, Italian, and French. This versatility allows us to imagine future projects that could encompass styles such as electrotango or urban music.
One of Chromianimbus's most distinctive elements is its dual vocals, combining male and female voices, along with a strong use of technology in production and live performances. Their first shows took place at gatherings and small parties in Spain and Argentina, gradually solidifying their stage presence.
A significant milestone in their career was the concert at Niceto Club in Buenos Aires, where their most recent live album was recorded, capturing the essence and energy of the project. Chromianimbus's performances aim to create a space for emotional connection, inviting the audience to leave their worries behind and immerse themselves in an atmosphere of happiness, positive energy, and collective celebration.
Currently, the project is in the midst of its creative phase, with new songs being composed for an upcoming studio album. Furthermore, an album of demos from their latest work, titled Tomorrow, is slated for release in the coming months, further expanding their musical universe.
Chromianimbus is, ultimately, an ever-evolving artistic experience: a space where music, emotion, and technology converge to create soundscapes without borders.
